IT Executive Club is supporting Code Week Hamburg 2018:
“Teaching children and youths about IT through play.”

The IT Executive Club within the digital cluster Hamburg@work is supporting the Code Week Hamburg this year through its member companies and workshops. The association of IT and digital experts in Hamburg and the metropolitan region welcomes the two-week drive (6 to 21 October 2018) and encourages participation in the biggest event of its kind, which over 1,500 children and youths are expected to attend. Code Week Hamburg is organized by the Körber Foundation and Bücherhallen Hamburg.

Sven Heinsen, Commissioner of the IT Executive Club Hamburg for IT and digital young talents, explains the main tasks: “Digital sovereignty means using digital media autonomously and under your own control, and being able to adjust to constantly shifting requirements in a digitalized world. When we at the IT Executive Club talk about digital sovereignty, we mean two important elements: 1. digital skills, and 2. digital maturity among school students and young people.”
