Come on Hamburg – apply now!For the third time, Marketing Club Hamburg e.V. in conjunction with the venture partner Hamburg@work and the media partner Absatzwirtschaft is looking for the best start-up idea on Monday, 3 September 2018 in the slam competition being held in the coworking space Mindspace Hamburg.Six Hamburg start-ups will compete against each other, with eight minutes to pitch their ideas.The winner will be awarded a one-week campaign on the Digital City Light Posters in Hamburg by the main sponsor WallDecaux, complete with a motif created by Sherpa Design.The top-rated venture will also receive the famous Club Ship’s Bell from Marketing Club Hamburg as well as one year’s start-up membership of Hamburg@work.All pitches will additionally be illustrated using visual facilitation to capture their essence.
To take part in the pitch, the start-ups must apply to the office of Marketing Club Hamburg e.V.. info@marketingclubhh.org by e-mail by 1 August 2018 with a brief introduction and a PDF of their start-up idea.The program committee will decide in advance who qualifies for the pitch round on 3 September.
Who will decide the winner on 3 September?
Every slam presentation is rated immediately afterwards by the level of audience applause.The overall volume of the applause, measured twice, is decisive.Then a jury consisting of Eva-Maria Bauch (Managing Director of Digital Products Gruner & Jahr GmbH & Co. KG), René Grothkopp (Start-Up Advisor of Hamburg Chamber of Commerce), Veronika Reichboth (Head of Start-Up Unit, Hamburg Invest) and Prof. Dr. Wolfgang Merkle (President of Marketing Club Hamburg e.V.) will quiz each of the start-ups about their business models.Next, the audience will judge the performance by applause in a second reading.The final winner is the start-up that achieves the highest overall rating from both rounds of applause.
